One afternoon about a year ago, Vanessa and I looked over Karen’s shoulder- all fueling up our inspiration tanks looking through Mariette Himes Gomez’s book, “Rooms”. We were all captured by the simplistic elegance of her style & vision for each space she had designed.
Mariette Himes Gomez is a designer in New York who Karen has appreciated and followed for some time. Earlier this year, we received an email from Miromar Design Center that they would be hosting Mariette as part of their 2012 Seminar Series. We were all thrilled that we had the opportunity to meet her and listen to her share some of her experiences.
We attended her seminar, as well as a lunch hosted by the Henredon Showroom. The three of us were able to talk with her, collect her additional books (“Apartments” & “Houses”), & even managed to find time for a snapshot with her to commemorate the occasion.
