What an exciting and beautiful year this has been! The new connections we’ve made, the encouragement and support we’ve received from the community, the clients who we have been blessed to serve…it all adds up to overwhelming joy and gratitude.
On November 1, 2011…Inspire Transitions was launched. We jumped into as many networks as we could to spread the exciting news about our new division of Karen L. Benson & Associates Interior Design. We were blown away by the support we received at our Ribbon Cutting on December 1, 2011…our downtown Ft. Myers office was squeezed full of Ft. Myers Chamber Members, friends, family, valued clients and vendors, professionals from our networking groups, a photographer or two, and even passer-bys to find out what was going on! We were overjoyed at the response and so thankful for the support as we embarked on our new journey.
After a great article put together by Janine Zeitlin for the New Press featuring Mrs. Edie Kingsley’s move and some assistance from Gail Dolan (of Dolan Marketing) to announce our opening, we couldn’t wait for the phone to start ringing.
We have worked with over 15 clients since July- downsizing, organizing, clearing apartments, and much more! Our goal is to plan and execute six seamless transitions each month. That means we will have served at least 72 seniors in our community by this time next year!
It has been a pleasure working with facility staff and case managers at The Carlilse of Naples, Shell Point Retirement Community in Fort Myers, The Glenview in Naples, Calusa Harbour in Fort Myers, Cypress Cove in Fort Myers, and Moorings Park in Naples. A special “thank you” to these communities where we have been welcomed and received as part of their team offering specialized services to their senior residents. We are open to serving all parts of Southwest Florida and look forward to working alongside other communities as we grow.
Also, we’ve partnered with A Smooth Move Moving company to transfer belongings on several projects. We’ve found their team to be a great asset for making transitions professional, efficient, and, well,…”smooth”!
In addition to senior transitions, we have also organized two transitions for professionals in our area who claim our services “invaluable”. What would take them months to unpack and organize takes our team one day. Our services allow our clients to go on with their life and enjoy their new home instead of being overwhelmed with the details of planning their move and surrounded with boxes of unknown contents!
Because of our anticipation for more clients needing our services, we have added a couple new players to our team. They are shadowing our project managers to get real life experience and working on their certification training. We are sending a representative to the Annual NASSM (National Association of Senior Move Managers) conference in January. It will be an incredible experience to meet other Senior Move Managers and learn from the Pioneers of our trade!
Also, because of our overflowing gratitude, we are partnering with the Arthritis Foundation to give back. The Jingle Bell Walk/Run for children with Juvenile Arthritis is December 15th at Lakes Park. It will be chilly, full of Christmas spirit, and a great event for individuals and families. Please join us as we take time out to serve in community for a “so-worth-it” cause! Want to help, but can’t make the walk? We are donating $1 for every “like” we get on our Inspire Transitions Facebook page…click for the cause and tell your friends about it too!
Thank you for your time to listen to our story. We are grateful for all we have been given and will continue to pray for the opportunity to serve people as they make significant life transitions. Moving is stressful…we can help!
We pray that you, your families, and your businesses will be blessed this coming year.
